NEWS & EVENTS

The Journey of PoliSpace in 2023 - A Recap:

Once a legend said, “You miss 100% of the shots you don't take.” and we took Michael Scott seriously. We kicked off the year with open arms during Welcome Week in February, setting the tone for what lay ahead. The first working session and "Looking Beyond" discussions inspired us to reach for the stars 🌠.

“Giornata delle Associazioni” - A day of associations brought us closer, and a visit to D-Orbit 🛰️ in March fueled our curiosity, reminding us of the infinite possibilities in the space industry.

Our doors swung open for Open Day, inviting everyone to explore the wonders of PoliSpace. The Arduino workshop 💡 organized in April sparked creativity, connecting minds through the joy of technology.

An extra dose of Arduino fun, a journey to Lario Space, the excitement of FlyFuture, and the vibrant AssociazioNIght – May was a month of diverse experiences and connections. 🚀

The Revolv Space Seminar was a highlight, bringing experts together to share knowledge and ideas, fostering a sense of unity and shared purpose. 🌐

PoliSpace’s Journey throughout 2023

As summer waned and autumn set in 🍂, we revisited the excitement of Welcome Week, joined the Festival dell'Ingegneria, dived into CubeSat sessions, and experienced the unique ATuXTu, all contributing to a memorable September.

November saw us taking CubeSats into the clean room, celebrating at the PoliSpace Party 🎉, and participating in the Aerospace & Defence Meetings Torino – a month of accomplishments

PoliSpace held one of the greatest events for this season of twinkling lights. On Friday 15th of December, we had the chance to connect with Dr Giuseppe Cataldo, who spoke about the Mars Sample Return Campaign.

PoliSpace Christmas Party:

At PoliSpace, we're all about breaking the monotony of all work and no play! As the year took its final bow, we kicked off the festivities with Polispritz. We had a Plenary meeting, where a fierce meme battle unfolded between all the teams. [R]overTech emerged as the victor and was awarded a "Dundie" trophy. We closed out the holiday season with a holly-jolly PoliSpace Christmas Party 🎄. It was a blast, and we can't wait to do it all over again next year! 🥳✨

Mars Sample Return Campaign

Mars, the enigmatic red planet, has long fascinated humanity. Despite numerous space missions dedicated to studying its secrets, Mars continues to reveal new and intriguing information.

Imagine the revelation that traces of ancient life have been uncovered on the Martian surface—a groundbreaking discovery that could reshape our understanding of the universe.

For all the questions you've harbored about the mysteries of Mars, Dr. Giuseppe Cataldo has the answers.

On Friday 15th of December, PoliSpace held a great event. We had the chance to connect with Dr. Giuseppe Cataldo, who spoke about the Mars Sample Return Campaign. MSR aims to recover samples from Martian surface at the search of signs of ancient life. From Uranium powered batteries, to orbital basketball match, through space cranes, the science here involved is incredible.
